The ability to think about a specific problem and come up with feasible solution is one of the traits of a good leader. School leaders are supposed to raise the bar of educational standard. Their task is achievable with the help of dedicated followers. Research studies show that seventy-five percent demonstrate a servant leadership style which benefit teaching and non-teaching staffs, including the learners. The other twenty-five percernt are mostly autocratic leaders who rule with a sharp stick. A characteristics of autocratic school leaders is demonstrated when they choose to humiliate their subordinates and create feeings of fear in the mind of their subordinates. So, how can this problem be solved?
Way out...
Prinicpals should build the reputation that lasts. The one built carefully shows what they wholeheartedly believe.
They must continue to uphold the ethics of the profession and be patient.
Teachers are not kids gloves so, they must be given due respect and corrected not openly.
Teachers are a gift from GOD and a supporting cast. Take time to speak to them kindly.
Principals are to repair wounds and not create one.
Above all, are you a principal? How do you rate yourself when using your sharp stick of authority?
