I believe learning is a process and a journey that
never ends. It’s a journey we discover, learn with grace and enthusiasm.
Therefore, you can’t just sit in a classroom and then, one day walk offstage
with a sheepskin claiming you’re educated.
In my teen
days, I usually looked around for friends instead of seeking situations where I
can learn and improve my skills and personality.
Unfortunately, along the line, I have learned what I
don’t want in life in substitute of learning what I want.
However, thank GOD the challenges I had didn’t
defeat me but ultimately strengthened me.
I’m convinced
learning is the ability to learn, strive, stumble, win and persevere. That’s
the reason, I believe that graduation ceremony is simply a commencement, a
process where learning begins or commences at a point. The four walls of
schooling make provisions, only for tools. It’s the framework for the real
lesson to come. It’s important to learn in the right spirit and not out of
sense of obligation.
Learning is the ultimate teacher, so that’s why you
must make it your life sustaining position. Learning that’s ill-fitting for
your personality will suck life out of you and make you individually unhappy.
The most fun I ever had is learning skills,
acquiring knowledge and giving it away to improve the lot of them under my
tutelage.
The key principle is never to stop learning. Of
course, the right learning propels, grows and develops your dream. Nobody is a custodian
of knowledge. If you stop learning then, you become a piece of vegetable ready
for the grave. And do you know what? The cemetery is the most richest place on
earth. I guess the reason why they call it so is because when dead folks were alive,
some just walked around the harbor and failed to reach the skyline anchored for
them.
